Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon has denied to reveal the name of the ‘friend’ with whom he relished a stay on a luxury yacht that, in general, costs US$ 280000 a week. Norwegian throne heir has faced increasing pressure from media in his country following all the revelations that he spent a weekend in August aboard Mia Elise superyacht.
In a recent meeting with reporters and journalists during a scouting program in Asker, the heir would only said that he had not paid anything for his holiday and that the person who had lent the yacht was one of its owners.
According to reports on the Greek Island Bareboat charter website, he further stated that a friend invited he and his wife on a boat trip, and they stayed there for a few days. It is as simple as that. He does not think he owes us anything, or that they owe him anything.
Haakon went on the holiday with Crown Princess Mette Marit right after they attended the wedding of Pierre Casiraghi (youngest son of Princess Caroline of Monaco’s) to Beatrice Borromeo. Norway’s Crown Prince added that staying on such a fuel-guzzling boat did not mean that he no longer took environmental problems quite seriously. Speaking to reporters, he told that he still believe that climate is very important. He totally agrees that emissions are a bad thing. They attempt try to do something.
